Mountain Biking at Blessingbourne Estate
Blessingbourne Estate’s exhilarating 13k Mountain Bike Trails and pump track provides one of Northern Ireland’s premier Mountain Biking experiences located within the grounds of the 550 acre country Estate. Set in the heart of woodlands and wildlife nestled on the edge of County Tyrone and the Sperrins and the Fermanagh Lakelands, you will cycle through the Estate’s woods and take in the private lakes and nature reserve. A full fleet of Mountain Bikes and helmets available for hire on site. Our fleet features a variety of top-spec bikes and equipment suitable for families and enthusiasts including new Scott Bikes, which offer cyclists the perfect combination of traction, propulsion and comfort.
Have a nature trail treasure hunt at Lough Fadda on Blessingbourne Estate – try to spot the elusive Red Squirrel
Breathe in the fresh country estate air and enjoy a family walk through the bespoke Walking Trails around private Lakes and mature woodland. We have an abundance of wildlife on the estate grounds just coming and going as they please. Blessingbourne is proud to be home to a family of Red Squirrel’s. These little show offs can be seen dashing all over the Estate, so you would need to be quick to get a picture! You could start your nature trail treasure hunt at the Gate Lodge where you might start off your nature trail treasure hunt with a wild rabbit or hare and then down by Lough Fadda you might spot our secretive swan tenants – you never know what else you could find…
Pony Trekking at The Forest Stables – check out their Fairy Trail
Location: 100 Cooneen Road, Fivemiletown
The Forest Stables take children from 4 years old on lead rein up to adults of all ages and teach a wide range of activities including beginners/nervous confidence building lessons, jumping, games, le trec, dressage, polo, stable management, drill. They also train professional students for work based diplomas at levels 1,2 +3. With pony rides and trekking suitable for all the family; you don’t need experience to have a great time. They are open all year round for lessons and treks which can be indoor or outdoor. Definitely a fun-filled activity for the whole family to get involved in and a fantastic bonding exercise with the animals.
Great breakfast and lunch time food menu for families at Coffee House 95
Location: 95 Main Street, Fivemiletown
Coffee House 95 provides an excellent range of food, from light sweet treats to filling savoury bites. They have a pleasing children’s section on their menu and all children’s meals include an ice-cream slider. There is ample seating options, whether you want to stop in for a casual coffee break or have a sustaining lunch for the whole family – this is the perfect spot.
They are open Monday until Saturday from 9:00AM until 5:00PM.
Go for a swim at Fivemiletown College’s Community Youth Annexe
Location: 51 Colebrooke Road, Fivemiletown
The swimming pool at the Youth Annexe is well-managed with experienced pool attendants. They have specific time slots for family/public swim, adult swim and swimming lessons for various ages. At the Youth Annexe there is a wide range of health and well-being activities such as; circuit training, spinning classes, water aerobics, HIIT workout and many others. There is also have a fitness suite with adequate treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, exercise bikes and a variety of dumbbell weights for strength training.
Adult Swim: Tuesday & Thursday 8:00pm-9:00pm
Family/Public Swim: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 6:30pm-8:00pm and Saturday 2:00pm-3:30pm
